Let me show you a REAL PERSON
When i first saw this, i LOL'd. i thought it was a joke, but after looking at the site, its actually real!

My sympathy goes to males.. this must be the masculine equivalent of the pressure to get a boob-job. Unless you've honestly got absolutely nothing else going for you it's actually more money and hassle than it's worth.
Obviously excercise is healthy like, but aspiring to be a greek god so you can punch someone in the face is a bit extreme, and if anything, a little desperate.
In other news, i went for a meal yesterday and ordered some 'vegetable packed' enchiladas. They were filled with tomatoes, peppers, courgettes and beans.. none of them are vegetables!

Thought for the week
I was just reading a page about animal intelligence, and specifically how to assess the intelligence of non co operational creatures, such as cats. It raises a few interesting points and most importantly, discusses the fundamental flaw of human judgement being swayed by human benefit.
Anyway, i just particularly liked this scenario:
An untrained cat and an untrained Border Collie dog are both presented with a group of ducklings. The dog herds the ducklings and protects them. The cat stalks the ducklings and eats one or more of them. Is the cat stupid because it doesn't look after the ducklings? Or is the dog stupid for not taking advantage of an easy meal?
I'd love to go on to talk about how this kind of dilemma sums up the dynamics of human society and relations within it.. but thats boring and shit, i dont have much to say, and you're all intelligent people who i'm sure already understand what i mean by that.
Incidentally, here's another article i saw on the subject of feline intelligence. Apparently their brains are structured just like ours.. no surprise there really.
Oh and here's a cute, topical pic:

I don't like the news
If you've ever felt frustrated by the news, this is the blog for you.
Firstly, if you dont already know it, i just quickly want to reccommend you Brasseye. It's all the gimmicky, trashy self-hyping news programs that expect to be taken seriously. embedding is disabled, so please click the pic below (open link in new tab so you dont loose this page, you fools!)

I guess it cuts to the core of the news' inappropriateness so well, that some find it shocking and offensive. But the media dont help themselves- after the brasseye special, 'peadogedden' ('the peadophile episode') the daily mail proclaimed it 'the sickest TV show ever', and printed it next to pictures of princesses Beatrice and Eugenie (who were 13 and 11) in their bikinis. The daily star committed virtually the same crime, only their issue included an article on (the then 15) charlotte church's breasts.
The video below, however, really genuinely is shocking. Even when you do watch this objectively, its not hard to see how easily and mindlessly some things are being faked- and then slapped in news and newspapers. enjoy- it's actually pretty interesting.
Mate, if you got shot in the head, you wouldn't be walking..
I dont think this can be limited to just the gaza strip though. think about the kind of stuff you see on the news. Are the things being reported really whats happening on the screen? or do they just roll out cheap stock footage from the general area, which they probably know is bogus, because lets face it- when you've got to report exciting events from all over the world every hour thats just a lot damn easier. The chances of having a cameraman wandering the streets in the middle of an outbreak in any given country at any given time probably aren't ideal from some channels' point of view.
That in itself isnt a crime though, it's just kinda lying slightly, i guess. the disturbing thing is that it proves how anyone can present this 'footage' and give it pretty much any story, to gather support or disgust for pretty much any group of people. with that in mind, who knows what the media can band together and show you on your tvs?
Of course, this is just for people who care. personally i avoid watching the news for this reason. It's gimmicky, probably partially bogus and, dare i say it, actually quite effective. I could easily go down the 'its a conspiracy!' route and turn into mr conspiracy guy over this, but i'd hate myself if i did.
So theres no real moral to this blog. Im just, y'know.. sayin.

65 things
I lived with a strange guy once. People who've heard me talk about him will know him as the guy that wouldn't eat anything that had been near tomatoes or bananas; brought food he had found on the street back to the house, unplugged Claudio's TV aerial because the neighbours were having a party; opened accounts using our details without asking us; and refuses to watch or play anything final fantasy related because when he finished FF7 he loved it so much he cried and he "never wants that to happen again".
he also had a strange Bomberman fetish, and one christmas Anna asked him what he wanted and he told us he wanted us to all draw pictures of bomberman for him. Andy was the only one who took the request seriously and actually gave him a sketch for christmas. Sarah then did one in a lecture and gave it to him later that year. Then I went in his room one day, and saw them both pinned up on his noticeboard amongst all his own lovingly drawn sketches of the great bomberman.
Anyway, none of that is related to the link below- that was just something that comes to mind when i think about people who are obsessed with a game character- so much so they see him in just about everything and then collect photos of them..
..For example the person that found 65 things that look like Pac-Man.
